Self Tanner Hack – Say goodbye to orange hands

November 29, 2017

I am a big fan of self tanner! Especially during the holidays… I’ve already lost my summer tan & I’m starting to look ghostly. As much as I love self tanners… I am not a fan of the self tanner mitt. I just don’t feel like I have as much control over where the product is going & prefer to use my hands. Sadly… that results in ORANGE HANDS. ALWAYS. I would (almost) rather be pale than have orange hands… who’s with me? LOL ๐Ÿ˜‰

A few days ago, I applied my self tanner then used my face soap to wash my hands out of pure laziness…. & the self tanner came right off. Like magic!

I was using Neutrogena’s Transparent Facial Bar.

I used to apply my self tanner in sections… apply to my legs… wash hands… apply to stomach… wash hands… you get the point. Now I apply to my entire body then wash my hands and NO ORANGE. Can I get an amen?!?! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

This revelation has been a game changer in self tanning for me the past couple weeks. LOL! Okay that is dramatic, but it is pretty cool that is takes it right off!! Maybe others already know this and I have wasted a blog post telling you guys something you already know, but I honestly think I discovered this. ๐Ÿ™‚ I have polled a few friends and they haven’t heard of this either!

Try it & let me know how it works for you! Quick tip… try not to wash it all off of the top of your hands.

Now let’s chat about self tanners. My favorite seIf tanner isย St Tropezย Express Tan Bronzing Mousse.you clicked that link, you probably thought…. WOAH $44 for one bottle?!? Yeah… I felt the same the first time I bought it. Guess when I bought it though…ย  February!!! And it is NOT even close to empty!!!

Full Disclosure: I use two self tanners. The St Tropez self tanner is my “fancy” tanner…. I only use it for special occasions, vacations, or parties. I use Tan Physics for other occasions.

You might be thinking… What’s the difference in the two?St Tropez gives you a darker color in one application. It says not to keep it on longer than 3 hours, but I do… I will typically sleep in it.Tan Physics is more of a gradual tanner. It takes a couple applications to reach a darker tan. It is very moisturizing. I love that about the product! I can’t say enough about both of these self tanners though. They are the best out there in my opinion. (I’ve tried a lot!)

Hope this has been useful!

Love, Natalie
